Autumn 2019
Sarah will return to the English National Opera in autumn 2019 to cover The Oracle of the Dead/Hecate in Birtwistle’s The Mask of Orpheus.
The opera will be part of ENO’s Orpheus Series along with three other operas based on the tale.
Sarah has previously sung Jano (Jenufa) and 15-Year-Old-Girl (Lulu) and covered Beketaten (Akhnaten) for ENO.
The Mask of Orpheus will be directed by Daniel Kramer and conducted by Martyn Brabbins and James Henshaw, with costumes by Daniel Lismore. Performances run from 18th Oct through 13th Nov 2019. Find out more about the opera’s story and history through ENO’s introductory guide.
